The store sells not only books, but photographic equipment as well.
1916 – Adam Clark Vroman dies. The store becomes incorporated and partly helmed by Allan David Shelton, whose family was very close to Vroman. Shelton becomes president in 1920, from that moment the store will remain a family business at heart.
1940’s – Vroman’s donates books to Japanese Americans interned in nearby camps in the wake of the Pearl Harbor attacks, following a long tradition of philantropy and generosity initiated by Adam Clark Vroman.
2008 – Publishers Weekly names Vroman’s Bookstore “Bookseller of the Year”
